Oh my! I was brave earlier this year when I volunteered to chaperoned high school students on a trip to Fremont and San Francisco. My ambivalence was quickly put at ease half way up the state road trip. I was amazed at how good these kids truly are and it was a pleasure to be part of this experience.
As you may recall, kid #2 is in the high school marching, jazz, and symphonic bands. Trekking north of our state of California was not just for the heck of it. Our kids were to participate in a band competition. It's part of the program. Part of our trip included a day in San Francisco and a day in an amusement park.
