To my loyal readers and, happy to meet you if you are new to Greenery In Mommyhood. This summer marked my first year in the blogosphere. I remember feeling ambivalent about the experience initially. At first, I was concerned about posting pictures of my family including pictures of my self. LOL! Look at me now- I'm all over the web. Sharing personal content was another concern. I did not want to overexpose myself or my family. I think I managed to strike a balance between over-sharing and being tight-lipped. Readers, what do you think?
I was inspired to start this blog after watching the movie Julie&Julia. :D After struggling for more than two years hunting down steady employment I thought, "why not?" I realized then, as I do now, that blogging serves more to help feed your identity than to put food on your table and pay the mortgage.
Now that I have some experience under my belt I've learned that blogging can open the doors to careers I never knew existed. I can blog for a company, become a brand ambassador, I could do social media consulting and, so much more. The joy of writing and the love of sharing a story was something I discovered from blogging. Learning more about the world of social media is ongoing process that satisfies my thirst for personal growth.
It pleases me to share this experience with you, my readers, and I hope you all will continue to follow me at new site.
